Steve Rotello, CFP®

Principal, Denver

“The good men do lives after them.” — Sir Alfred Tennyson

As the Principal of Mosaic’s Denver office, Steve is in charge of client strategy and planning. His 20 years of experience in financial planning, investment strategy and portfolio implementation provide clients with advice from someone who has seen both good and bad markets. He is keenly focused on serving Executives and Business Owners around liquidity events. Steve joined the Mosaic team after over 9 years at UBS, and 8 years at A.G. Edwards and Sons. However, he began his career as a teacher at Desmet High School. The opportunity to do something significant for some wonderful people led Steve to enter wealth management, and later brought him to Mosaic. Joining the Mosaic team is very meaningful to Steve because Scott Highmark and he have shared a friendship and ideas for 20 years.

Steve’s favorite part of working at Mosaic is being surrounded by folks that are deeply committed to elevating the lives of clients and colleagues alike. He feels that the best experiences of his life have come from working on teams, and that the best advice comes from teamwork, so Steve is incredibly excited to be a part of the Mosaic family. Steve is inspired each day knowing that his clients are counting on him to help achieve their lasting and life-changing goals.

Steve graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder with a Bachelor’s in Accounting and later received his MBA from Saint Louis University. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. When Steve is not working, he most enjoys spending time with his wife and three children doing just about anything — hiking, fishing, golfing, biking, or skiing rank among their favorite activities. Steve is also a big fan of basketball. He has coached high school basketball for 20 where he has been a part of six Final Fours and two state championships and has been a mentor to some of the top student-athletes in St. Louis and Denver.
