Senior Wealth Advisor
“Everybody ends up somewhere in life. A few people end up somewhere on purpose.”— Andy Stanley
Zachary Wagganer joined Mosaic Family Wealth as Senior Wealth Advisor from Moneta Group. Prior to joining Moneta, Zac spent over a decade specializing in banking and commercial real estate investments, helping investors and institutions through varied economic climates.
Zac appreciates Mosaic’s sense of compassion and empathy; “rare qualities in the finance industry.” He enjoys working with a team that believes the individuals and families they serve are more valuable than the bottom line on their net worth statement. Because money touches every aspect of life, he recognizes that his work quickly transitions from quantitative analysis to the people and experiences that money affects.
When asked why he chose a career in wealth management, Zac shared these poignant words:
“When an investor or an individual uses a bank’s money to purchase an investment, they sign a note that begins with the phrase, “I promise to pay…” The next 40 pages then list all the things that could happen if the investor cannot make good on their promise. I spent several years living inside those pages, figuring out how to take the individual apart piece by piece to make the institution whole. It is an important job and someone needs to do it, it just doesn’t need to be me. So, rather than tear the investor apart, I decided to use that experience as the springboard to help successful families plan properly so those 40 pages of heartache never need be acted upon.”
Zac earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration with an emphasis in Legal Studies and earning his Paralegal Certificate, cum laude, from Webster University. Zac and his wife, Annie, have four children, Hannah, Benjamin, Sarah and Emily. They take every opportunity to enjoy their many activities, including soccer, baseball, and swimming. When he finds a rare moment to himself, he also enjoys reading, duck hunting, fly fishing, and hiking.
